We were extremely pleased to welcome as our guest speaker Deborah Leary OBE. As CEO of her own business, Forensic Pathways, Deb was named International Woman Entrepreneur of the Year in 2008, and is also Vice President of the British Association of Women Entrepreneurs and Chair of international trade organisation, FutureEurope.
Deborah is a recognised specialist in the field of forensic intelligence, now emerging as a must-have in corporate transactions. As her award last year shows, Deb and her team are developing Forensic Pathways into a truly international business which is securing contracts with banks, and multinationals around the world: experience which she also brings to her role as Chair of FutureEurope. Her book 'Eureka and Beyond' is due for release in 2009.
Tracey Williams introduced a CFN event hosted at Burges Salmon solicitors, Bristol offices on Cleantech. In the context of rising fuel costs and an increasing worldwide drive for greener solutions, cleantech is seen by many as a growth sector where investors have a real opportunity for returns.

This upbeat message was delivered at the Corporate Finance Networks - Trends and Predictions2008 CEO Agenda event that was held at Clarke Willmott's Bristol Offices, which gathered entrepreneurs , funders and advisers to hear trends and predictions for 2008.
The panel discussion, staged by Bristol-based corporate finance boutique Icon, Clarke Willmott and Credit Suisse, and supported by the Western Daily Press, heard from a range of professionals with differing views of the corporate market as the economy enters its toughest year for more than a decade.
